My job in Ardeek started with the design of an horizontally scalable hosting platform (kCPanel) with SMTP/IMAP/DNS services fully automated by a PHP REST web application (no needs of human intervention after each billing process). I worked for the definition of protocols, database schemas and technologies (MySQL, LDAP) and integrated them with Postfix, Dovecot, PowerDNS, amavisd-new and Apache httpd.I also developed most of kMVC, an MVC/REST php-based lightweight framework to shorten development stages of web services and web applications.First release of kCPanel was build upon Ellislab\'s CodeIgniter MVC framework, I developed multiple CI plugins, helper, models and integrations with Ardeek\'s system tools and daemons. Due to performance problems and company needs, on second main release, we moved to the self-developed kMVC framemork (developed to be almost CI compliant).I designed and contributed to development of two Apache httpd modules- mod_statsql: a real-time bandwidth monitor for multi-site apache installations- mod_vhost_ldap_ng: this module permits to store virtualhost on LDAP database to centralize multiple web servers configurations.I contributed to development of CPAgent a multithreaded Perl daemon for remote management and messages distribution useful to propagate messages to each node of company’s infastructure.I designed and developed the fast and reliable backend (PHP-based) of NetM project. NetM provides multi-homed alarms and statuses distribution, actually we support Allied Telesis and Cisco switches and SNMP capable hosts for Telecom Italia and INAIL. I also developed GUI based on HTML/CSS3/AJAX technologies.
