ABOUT GIUSEPPE DI PINTO
As a Data & Information Analyst - GIS at Aker BP ASA, I apply my expertise in GIS analysis, mapping, and image processing to support the exploration and production of oil and gas in the North Sea/Norwegian Sea/Barents Sea. I work with multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate and reliable spatial data and information for decision making and operational excellence.I have a PhD in Geomorphology and Environmental Dynamics from the University of Bari, Italy, where I studied the landscape evolution of mountain front-foredeep systems using GIS and cosmogenic nuclide geochronology. I also have a Postgraduate Master in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, where I learned advanced techniques and tools for spatial data processing and analysis. I have more than 10 years of experience in GIS and geoscience, working as a GIS specialist, consultant, advisor, and analyst for various companies and institutions in Italy, Spain, and Norway. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve complex problems and contribute to the sustainable development of natural resources.
