ABOUT GIUSEPPE GALLI

Giuseppe Galli is currently Petroleum Engineering & Operations Senior Advisor in Petroleum Engineering & Reservoir Characterization Department in Eni.Graduated in Geology in 1990 at the University of Parma, he joined Eni in 1991 as Well Site Geologist and has worked as petrophysicist in Headquarter until 1997.After an experience as reservoir petrophysicist in Agip Recherches Congo he continued its petrophysical activities starting to be involved in cased hole logging design and acquisition. Since 2005 he has gradually strengthened its role as Technical Leader in the Downhole Well Surveillance Team managing the Case Hole acquisitions for Formation Evaluation, Production log and Wellbore Integrity log (cement and corrosion) and supporting the worldwide Eni BU activities.Recently he has expanded its activities by promoting the dissemination of new monitoring technologies based on Tracers and Fiber Optics. He has also implemented as project manager the application of polymer treatment for EOR porposes.He has proposed and created a multidisciplinary team of Production Petrophisicists with the intent to create and spread a new professional figure able to integrate static and dynamic well information. This figure plays a central role in the activity of Res. Mngt, PO and Rejuvenation of mature fields by promoting the identification of bypassed reservoir.Giuseppe is author of many technical papers and posters.In parallel to operations and research activity, he is involved in the teaching in some courses for Drilling, Workover & Completion,Reservoir Engineers & Geologists and for the Master in Petroleum Engineering at the PoliTo. Giuseppe participates actively in the dissemination of know-how within Eni as a CoP facilitator, as speaker of many internal webinars and communication events, and as a mentor to young employees. 20••••25 SPWLA Distinguished Speaker.
