About Gisela Perez
I am deeply committed to driving social change and fostering positive transformation within the Latino community. My focus lies in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, as I believe in creating a more inclusive and equitable environment. I am dedicated to serving and uplifting my community, leveraging my skills and enthusiasm to contribute to meaningful change. I currently serve as a bilingual research assistant at the IU School of Medicine and my research has focused on disparities within the Latino community and bridging access gaps. Specifically access gaps that exist in the autism spectrum diagnostic and intervention services. I have presented this research at several conferences state wide and was honored to receive \"Best Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Research\" at the 2023 Purdue Autism Research Conference.
