About Girish Bhat

At heart I am an engineer/system designer. Solving complex system level problems is my forte. Over my 20+ year career at Qualcomm, I have been a key contributor to the development and commercialization of many of the Snapdragon mobile SoCs including Snapdragon 800 which not only was one of the most commercially successful SoCs from Qualcomm but also ended up powering NASA\'s Ingenuity helicopter on Mars. I have architected key SoC software/system features across a wide range of technology areas like memory management, virtualization, security/access control, system cache, low power islands and debug. Over the years at Qualcomm, my roles have also involved project execution and engineering management. In my project execution role, my responsibilities have included SW schedule planning, pre-silicon strategy/planning, software bring-up and driving debugs of complex system level issues. I currently lead the Platform Software Architecture team at Qualcomm that is responsible for architecting the platform SW for Qualcomm SoCs across a wide range of product segments (Mobile Handset, Compute, Auto, IoT, Data Center).
