ABOUT GIRISH MANIK

My experience of over 15 years covers working in various segments of Financial Services Industry such as Life Insurance, General Insurance, Pension Funds, Mutual Funds, AIF, PMS, NBFC and Housing Finance with specific focus on Corporate Secretarial, Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Legal, Litigation and Risk Management. I am a senior experienced Company Secretary and Law Graduate from India. My extensive experience includes working in Companies with AAUM size of ~ ₹ 2200 Billion ($29.83 Billion) and managing expectations of the Board of Directors, Senior Management and Regulatory/Statutory Authorities. It also includes managing retail litigation matters as well as derivative and investment agreements. This experience enables me to analyse, simplify and solve complex business issues and influence collaborative efforts across functions and business leaders.I have extensive experience in managing Public Issues. I had privilege of handling the equity IPO of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited, Public Issue of Non Convertible Debentures of Edelweiss Housing Finance Limited and IIFL Finance Limited. In all I have handled one Equity IPO and 4 Public Issue of Debentures. This includes end to end process starting with pre issue discussions with potential LMs followed by closure of Public Issue.I am presently the appointed Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of SBI Life Insurance Company Limited which is listed on NSE and BSE and is part of Nifty 50 Index.
