ABOUT GIRIRAJ DAMANI

I am a Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in direct and indirect taxation, including international tax, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance across India, USA, EU, UAE, China, and Korea with proven expertise in managing complex tax litigation, optimizing tax strategy, and leading functional teams; known for driving compliance, reducing tax exposures, and improving cash flow through strategic tax planning.I started my professional career with Deloitte and as part of my consulting career (4 years) in Taxation, I specialize in advising multinational corporate clients across sectors in relation to international taxation, tax compliance, transfer pricing, funding, entry strategy/ expansion, litigation and advisory. This included assisting clients to cope up with changing tax laws (including PoEM, Digital tax, Angel taxation, Lower tax rate benefits, etc.), impact analysis and briefing senior leadership in an easy-to-understand manner. I have worked in a start-up (Ola) for a couple of years and handled taxation of the entire Group including government incentive schemes like Auto-PLI. In my previous organization (Technicolor), I worked as Tax Lead (for India, Korea and China) and handed Direct and Indirect Taxation of the entire Group.Currently, I am working with Ultrahuman wherein I am leading the tax function of an entire Group having presence in India, USA, EU and UAE.
