Hi, my name is Gio, and I am a first-generation graduate student aspiring to become a mental health and couples therapist. In this role, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate through difficult emotions, behaviors, and challenges. By pursuing my master\'s degree in CMHC, I will cultivate skills such as active listening, empathy, problem-solving, and effective communication to provide efficient client care. With prior experiences as a teacher assistant, I have developed leadership abilities that would be applied academically and professionally. Upon completion of my degree, I plan to expand my education by pursuing a doctoral degree in counseling psychology.
