Understanding how news connects with everyday people is more important than ever before, and it\'s why I\'ve devoted more than a decade to innovating the products and relationships between journalism organizations and their audiences.Some of my impact: • Became a Pulitzer finalist for production design on an illustrated storytelling project.• Grew a Los Angeles TV station\'s instagram profile % to become the, besting smaller national outlets.• Transformed the user experience for a digital news outlet\'s website, contributing to a % and % year over year.• Evangelized spacial storytelling, for a 360 video docuseries on the environment.I got my start in news early and have made it my life\'s work. At 17, I was the first minor ever hired at The San Diego Union-Tribune. At 22, I became one of the youngest journalists to join the KTLA 5 News team in Los Angeles. I\'d then go on to become the youngest director-level staffer at local news startup Lookout Santa Cruz.I\'m keenly aware of AI\'s impact on the media ecosystem and have made finding ethical and beneficial applications of it for news one of my top priorities.
