ABOUT GIOVANNA CARACCIOLO

My ultimate mission is to use my knowledge, skills and experience to contribute to the generation of more sustainable, healthy and rewarding workplaces. Somebody said, “There is no growth without change, there is no change without fear or loss, there is no loss without pain”. My motto is “Most of the time, it does not need to be that painful!”I help professionals and organisations to achieve, navigate, embrace and enjoy change!According to Marlow’s Hierarchy theory, our ultimate need is “to become the best we can be” (self-actualisation); we are bound to seek change!Whether is a new career, a new role, a new “way of working”, a new behaviour or a new mindset that we are looking for, this often requires putting ourselves outside our comfort zone and dealing with the “unknown”. Before we know it, we can find ourselves fighting with a lack of confidence, limiting beliefs and even high levels of stress. As a self-defence mechanism, we develop resistance to change, we surrender to the status quo and we get stuck where we are. In this situation, a lack of self-awareness can push us into the trap of believing that “it has to be this way”. Developing an understanding of what triggers our thoughts and fears, when facing and/or seeking a change, gives us clarity on what we can control and the power to act upon it. My mission is to help other professionals take control of how they live and perceive their work life, work relationships and their role in the workplace; to uncover their strengths and purpose; to move into a space of clarity so they can courageously embrace change as a way to evolve towards their self-actualisation. When organisations need change, they often require their people to adopt new ways of working. This involves new technologies, new processes, and also NEW BEHAVIOURS. This is why change cannot be achieved successfully without the commitment and partnership of their people to the transformation journey.As a change management practitioner in the construction industry, I see how change is needed now more than ever; and as a transformative coach, I strongly believe that only a people-centric approach can allow organisations to successfully implement the transformation they seek.The implementation of change required to move towards more sustainable, healthy and rewarding workplaces, whether it is at a personal level or organisational level, it is a challenging nonetheless exciting journey, of which I feel honoured to be part.
