I am currently a laboratory assistant at the Dirksen Lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. I am actively investigating the role of Frataxin in muscle degeneration using a skeletal muscle-specific knockdown mouse model, contributing to the understanding of Friedreich’s Ataxia. I have evaluated disease progression by using multiple longitudinal studies over a one-year period. I am actively conducting a series of histological studies to analyze the composition, health, and structure of specific skeletal muscles.
