ABOUT GIORGIO BAGGI

I like to describe myself as a curious and creative individual, with a deep-rooted passion for chemistry and science in general. My appetite for understanding the complex physicochemical machinery that governs the universe around us and the way we perceive it, combined with my natural disposition to craft and build by hand, yielded a resourceful and skilled scientist with a multi-disciplinary research background, a long-standing experience in the field of organic synthesis, and a deep-rooted passion for psychedelic science.My mission: contributing to the development of ethical and sustainable psychedelics manufacture and research practices, while setting the foundations for a society where the transformative power of psychedelics is accessible to everyone in an equitable manner. I envision a future where psychedelics are not only utilized for the healing and treatment of mental illness, but also as tools for personal growth and wellness.As a Ph.D. in Chemistry with almost a decade of experience in the research environment, my expertise spans across organic, inorganic, nanomaterials, and pharmaceutical chemistry. My extensive background in host-guest, supramolecular, and materials chemistry feeds my keen interest in understanding how molecules behave in complex systems and how their structure affects properties and functions of materials.As a true scientist, I perceive problems as challenges that motivate me: I approach them as opportunities for growth and tackle them by adventuring outside of my \"scientific comfort zone\", where the exploration of new ideas and technologies stimulates my creative and lateral thinking, often leading to insightful discoveries and innovations.
