ABOUT GIORGIO FANTACCHIOTTI

Giorgio Fantacchiotti graduated in Comparative Law from the Law School of the University of Turin in 1993 with the highest honors (110/110 magna cum laude), under the guidance of Professor Rodolfo Sacco. Following his degree, he attended the three-year post-graduate course “Corso di Specializzazione in Diritto degli Scambi Transnazionali” (LLM - Master in Comparative Law), directed by Professor Rodolfo Sacco, and obtained the final diploma in 1996.He qualified as a lawyer in Italy in 1996 and, in July 1997, joined Erede e Associati, where he primarily engaged in corporate finance transactions and corporate law. From January 1998 to April he was seconded as a Visiting Foreign Lawyer with Herbert Smith Freehills in London, spending eight months in the Corporate Department and six months in the Banking Department. During this period, he also qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is currently a member of the London Law Society.In 2014, after 16 years at Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, including 10 years as a partner, he joined Linklaters as an equity partner in Milan’s Corporate Department, where he led the Private Equity group. He also served as a member of the Global Consumer Sector Committee and head of the Italian Business Development Committee.In 2025, after 11 years at Linklaters, he joined Fivers as an equity partner. His professional activities have been entirely conducted in the field of corporate finance (M&A, acquisition of companies and businesses, joint ventures, corporate and business reorganizations and restructurings of both listed and unlisted companies), primarily representing financial sponsors but also corporates.Over the years, Giorgio has overseen a significant number of M&A and private equity transactions in Italy and abroad. He is ranked Band 2 in Corporate/M&A: Mid-Market by Chambers Global and Europe 2025, Band 3 in Private Equity by Chambers Europe 2025, and is included in the Hall of Fame in Private Equity by Legal 500 EMEA 2025.
