ABOUT GIORGIA VALERIA VIVIANI

I am currently working at Flowserve Pump Division as R&D Engineer in the Hydraulic Design & Development team. I am involved in API multistage pumps design, hydraulic calculations, fluid dynamics analysis and vibration analysis. In April 2023 I have acquired the Vibration analysis CAT 2 certificate.Previously I worked at Tractebel - Engie as a thermalhydraulic design engineer in CFD & Thermalhydraulic team, Safety & Modelling Expertise department. My main tasks were to perform thermalhydraulic safety analysis of nuclear reactor systems and write technical reports. This experience allowed me to improve my knowledge in nuclear plant behaviour during accident situations and in performing thermalhydraulic and CFD calculations. I used RELAP5 and Trapcon for the thermalhydraulic calculations and ANSYS CFX for CFD analysis. I have acquired experience in fluid dynamics and CFD simulation during my Master Thesis internship at the Nuclear Research Center SCK-CEN and during the Research Master at Von Karman Institute of Fluid Dynamics, in Belgium. I have used RELAP5, Ansys CFX, Fluent, OpenFoam and Numeca Fine/Open.I have done an internship of one year at Continental Automotive Italy, as a Product Engineer. I was involved in the development of new measurement methods for high-pressure injector components and data analysis. This experience allowed me to experience working in a multinational corporation in the Automotive sector and to acquire further knowledge in mechanics, metrology and statistics.I have also worked as Mechanical Designer for Ortec IT. My task was the development of 3D models and drawings of paper machines\' parts and assemblies. I used the CAD software SolidWorks.
