I am a software engineer passionately building solutions to help organizations and people succeed. My background includes over 10 years of IT experience in strategic planning and application deployment. I enjoy working with various technologies and exploring useful ways to apply them to solve real-world problems. I use these experiences to design and build effective applications that are performant, testable and scalable.I am experienced in building backends using Node.js/Express and Python/Flask to build RESTful APIs. On the frontend, I use vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), Typescript, React/Redux, and React Native for mobile platforms. As a full stack developer, I feed my inquisitive nature by carefully gathering information to gain a holistic view of a project allowing me to contribute rapidly.In my past life as a Systems Administrator, I was the owner of the technology group and engaged in cross-team collaboration to build informed solutions, creating excellent user experiences and satisfying business needs. As a developer, I draw on these experiences to facilitate and strengthen teamwork towards building compelling applications to tackle challenges.When I\'m not coding, you can find me shooting photography, playing volleyball, and eating my way through San Francisco.
