Ginny is a trained Playworker working at The Yard on Governor\'s Island in NYC. She is an advocate for free play and works to support children in their play by creating space for them both literally and emotionally. The Yard is a junk playground that provides loose parts, building supplies, and tools for children away from parental supervision. As a Playworker, Ginny keeps the site clear of hazards and is available to the children as they need her. She and her fellow Playworkers reflect on their experiences and work to continually grow and improve themselves and the play space. This work has reignited her own playful self.

Moving into the Nonprofit world after 15+ years of corporate experience, I am embracing a new outlook and working on a project that drives me and hopefully contributes to a better society.
