Experience
Senior Manager
Sep 2024 — Present · Washington, DC, US
As Senior Manager, I plan and execute year round programming focused on wilderness leadership, youth development, post-high school planning, professional development, and community service. I work with 10th, 11th, and 12th grade cohorts, empowering them to explore and expand their interests at City Kids and beyond. I manage seasonal staff, full-time staff, and project-based teams throughout the year, and coordinate work with partner organizations and volunteers. City Kids enrolls cohorts of 6th graders every year who participate in the City Kids program for 6+ years. In my role, I support their continued growth in their high school years tailoring programming to each individuals interests. During the school year, our youth and programs are based in DC. We provide after school and weekend outdoor adventure programming including climbing, hiking, biking, horseback riding in around the greater DMV area. During the summer, our operation moves to Jackson, WY where high schoolers take on a junior counselor role working with younger campers, or choose to participate in internships, a career exploration week, a backpacking trip, and/or a climbing trip.
