As a Cyber Security Compliance, Risk and Assurance Manager, I lead a critical function that ensures our business operations remain secure, compliant, and resilient. My role focuses on embedding security into day-to-day operations, leveraging automation and assurance processes to proactively manage risk and protect both our customers and the business.I work closely with operational teams, auditors, and risk specialists to drive a culture of compliance, strengthen our control environment, and integrate security practices seamlessly across the organisation. Through governance, assurance, and proactive risk management, I help safeguard against potential threats while enabling the business to operate with confidence.Key accountabilities include: • Leading and developing a specialist team to deliver assurance and secure operations at scale. • Embedding the ART framework into the Cyber Group Risk Category, ensuring policies, standards, and controls are consistently applied across the business. • Driving proactive security risk assessments, testing, and assurance to identify vulnerabilities and oversee corrective action. • Partnering with auditors and stakeholders to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks. • Building trusted relationships with first-line operational teams to embed secure ways of working and elevate cyber resilience. • Using data and automation to strengthen assurance, enhance reporting, and enable proactive risk management.
