ABOUT GINA THORNTON
Gina has more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience in different sectors across Australia, the United Kingdom and North America. For the last four years, she\'s been CFO for a Canadian-based prefab construction/tech start-up, Falkbuilt. Prior to joining the construction industry, Gina was a Partner at Deloitte, specializing in Governance, Risk & Compliance. Gina started her career in Australia with mining giant BHP’s Global Finance Leadership Program. BHP believes future leaders need to truly understand the business, so Gina spent several years wearing steel toed boots and a hard hat working in the Outback, in BHP’s coal, iron ore and steel building product operations. Gina has five post-graduate designations: Australian Chartered Accountant (CA), Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
