Gina is CEO of Genoa Design International, a marine design firm dedicated to new ship construction and vessel support services. Gina\'s start in the Royal Canadian Navy (19••••91) underscored her career evolution as a senior business executive focused on entrepreneurial excellence through strategic clarity and team empowerment. In recent years, she has become a voice of influence in North American marine defence and security matters, with growing attention on Canada\'s sovereignty readiness and service to NATO. Gina helped establish Genoa Design International in 1994 and supported the company\'s growth from basement enterprise to international operation. She has led the company as CEO for nine years and has overseen over 10X growth in that period. Named one of Canada\'s fastest-growing companies (2021) and a top Small & Medium Employer (2024, 2025) by the Globe & Mail, Genoa is on track to become North America\'s leading Digital Ship® service provider. In addition to leading Genoa, Gina serves on Canada\'s Defence Industry Advisory Committee (DIAG); is chair of the Board of Directors of Newfoundland Power; and a director on the Boards of C-CORE and Business & Arts NL.
