About Gina Leibrecht

I have been working in film since I received my B.A. in Telecommunications and Film from the University of Oregon. Films I have produced, directed and edited have screened in major festivals around the world and have streamed on Netflix, Amazon, iTunes and more. I collaborated with the acclaimed documentarian Les Blank on ALL IN THIS TEA, which I co-produced, co-directed, and edited, and which had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, screened in over 40 festivals worldwide, and was broadcast on the Sundance Channel. In 2014 I completed another collaboration with Les Blank called HOW TO SMELL A ROSE, which had its North American debut at the Telluride Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and many more. Most recently, I was Story Producer and Editor on YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT: A TWIN EXPERIMENT, a 4-part Netflix series on the power of a plant-based diet that reached the Netflix Top Ten for the first three weeks streaming. Before that I was Creative Producer and Supervising Editor on the 7-episode streaming series called PERFECT SWEAT, currently distributed by Off The Fence. In 2019 I co-directed and edited AI WEIWEI: YOURS TRULY, which won the Audience Award at BendFilm and is distributed by First Run Features; and I edited WILDER THAN WILD, which won Best Environmental Film in the Bay Area. Past editing highlights include SERENADE FOR HAITI, TRAINING RULES, and HOMEGROWN BOUNTY, which I produced and directed for the KQED series SPARK.
