About Gina Calcaterra Bhawalkar
I lead Forrester\'s coverage of digital accessibility and experience design. I conduct research and advise clients on topics such as how to build the business case for accessibility and inclusive design, the best practices to establish a sustainable accessibility program, and how to bring the voice of people with disabilities into the product design and development lifecycle. My coverage also includes the impact of AI on experience design, responsible and ethical design, and how to measure the impact of experience improvements. Prior to Forrester I held UX and CX leadership and practitioner roles at several organizations. I\'ve built UX teams from the ground up. I started my career in accessibility and have made it my aim to bring my experience in this area to every role I\'ve worked in. I established and led an accessibility program at Scottrade, effectively selling the business case by tying the work to the company\'s mission and strategy. At Forrester I established accessibility as a coverage area for the firm at a time when no analyst firms were looking at the space. As regions around the world continue to establish and enforce regulations related to accessibility my research prepares clients to both comply with these requirements and go beyond them to unlock the full benefits of digital accessibility.
