Architecting a better user experience for the SEC’s legacy Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system—which companies use to submit an average of mandatory filings with the agency and the public queries for information on these filings.» Co-led the information architecture, user experience (UX) design, and content development for a dashboard approach that introduces new user credentialing and access management processes for EDGAR. » Partnered with federal staff and EDGAR’s application development contractors to rapidly develop a comprehensive UX design style guide that now provides design standards for all efforts to improve the EDGAR system. Based on GSA’s U.S. Web Design System and research regarding the UX of current best-in-breed web applications that support filing government forms, the style guide was designed to optimize EDGAR’s usability.
