Work with architectural teams to hone the exterior of Cherokee Nation buildings to include tribal symbolism and design as these relate to the history, culture and heritage of our people. I also lead a team for each facility to select culturally appropriate art to adorn the interior of the facility too.Cherokee Nation passed a Law mandating the set aside 1% of construction and/or renovation projects or over, for the procurement of art. Said Law also outlines art can be procured from Cherokee Nation tribal citizens only.
