ABOUT GINA MAREK
I advise emerging and established life sciences, healthtech and other technology companies on strategic licensing, commercial transactions, and the protection and commercialization of intellectual property and data‑driven products. I have extensive experience representing high‑growth companies in corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology licensing, and IP‑driven M&A and financing transactions, with a particular emphasis on life sciences collaborations and platform deals. I also counsel venture capital investors and public companies on the intellectual property, technology, and privacy and data protection aspects of investments and acquisitions. I draw on years of experience structuring and negotiating complex deals for hundreds of innovative companies, including at my prior firm where I co‑chaired their Strategic Transactions and Licensing Group. I work closely with Orrick’s venture capital, M&A, and emerging company teams to deliver business‑minded solutions that help clients scale efficiently, manage risk, and achieve their strategic objectives.
