ABOUT GINA ANDREWS DILLON

AboutI’m a people-first Human Resources leader with over 15 years of progressive experience across unionized and non-unionized environments in both the public and private sectors. I’m passionate about building workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive — because when people do well, organizations do even better. As the Manager of Human Resources at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Kamloops Branch, I built the HR department from the ground up, creating the systems, policies, and programs that now support nearly 200 employees across multiple community-based sites. From launching an Employee and Family Assistance Program to developing standardized policies, engagement initiatives, and leadership training, I’ve worked to align people practices with organizational strategy while keeping humanity at the heart of every decision. Education & DesignationI hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management and Leadership from Thompson Rivers University. I have also met all requirements for the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, which will be officially conferred in November 2025. Core StrengthsStrategic HR Leadership: Building HR infrastructure that balances compliance, culture, and compassion.Training & Development: Designing and facilitating learning programs that strengthen capability and confidence.Recruitment & Employer Branding: Finding and attracting the right people — and helping them grow once they’re here.Psychological Health & Safety: Promoting well-being, inclusion, and authentic leadership across all levels.I believe leadership is about connection, not control — and that meaningful impact happens when people feel seen, trusted, and supported. I’m always open to connecting with other leaders who are passionate about creating workplaces where people — and purpose — thrive.
