About Gina Dallabetta
I have over thirty years of experience in international public health with wide-ranging knowledge in the global HIV/AIDS response including local implementation, large program management, global headquarters oversight, technical support, research, evaluation and funding. I have worked mainly with international NGOs, foundations and academic institutions and, in these roles, had extensive interface with bi-lateral and multilateral institutions, country governments and civil society. My particular interest is in HIV prevention; the use of evidence in public health policy, strategy development and technical guidance at the global and country levels; and addressing monitoring and management at the implementation level as a means to improve value for money. I have broad country experience in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the post-Soviet states and lived and worked for long periods in Malawi, India and Bangladesh.
