ABOUT ROB HAPPY GILMOUR
A partner with Crestview Strategy, Rob has served in senior roles on successful leadership, central and local campaigns and is often asked to organize, present or train candidates and attendees at political conventions. Rob “Happy” Gilmour has over twenty years of public affairs, stakeholder, communications, training, public relations, events, fundraising and campaign leadership experience. He has worked on Parliament Hill and at Queen’s Park for two progressive conservative governments. Previously a deputy executive director at PC Caucus Services, Rob recently oversaw research, outreach and political affairs for the Ontario PC Government Caucus at Queen’s Park. Rob has been the Executive Director of an organization dedicated to fighting for access to disability benefits and works with a three-time Paralympian and gold medalist to spread motivation and hope. He spent several years launching and expanding a car sharing company across Canada. With the organization from before its launch, the company grew to 34 markets in 24 months. Rob oversaw all public affairs, experiential and digital marketing, events, communications and stakeholder relations. With a passion for running war rooms, Rob once led a campaign at an international consultancy that earned 89 municipal council resolutions of support from 42 separate Ontario municipalities during a six-week period. With an equal passion for people and public affairs, Rob graduated as the elected president of his university and high school student councils. Rob has co-authored a political fundraising manual, launched three successful sponsorship departments and helped raise over $10 million. As a proud Brock University graduate, Rob has a degree in English Literature and grew up on a turkey farm in the heart of the Niagara Region. He’s knocked on over rural and urban doors and has been told he\'s a pretty good GOTV (Get Out the Vote) campaign day chair. Rob also sits on the Board of Governors for George Brown College and Advisory Board of ParaGolf Canada.
