I launched Craft Design House in 2016 to provide the perfect balance for this fast-moving and consumer-driven society. A purpose-driven enterprise with a vision to revive heritage and keep traditional skills at the forefront. The aim, to connect customers with creators and celebrate inspirational, timeless and tactile pieces that are made with passion and designed to be used in everyday life.For over a decade I produced project briefs for story-led craft and design commissions that celebrate the people and places of Scotland. Working closely with both established and emerging multi-disciplinary designer-makers, this experience has deepened my understanding of the process, tools and delivery of work from diverse disciplines, including glass, ceramics, textile and jewellery. Collections of work have been sold within Kelvingrove Museum & Gallery, British Library and National Gallery, London and exhibited at The Lighthouse, Glasgow and in China as a part of Shenzhen, UNESCO City of Design’s, Creative December. I continue to showcase work through curated collaborations, pop-up events, and exhibitions.
