ABOUT GILLIAN ANNE RENAULT
Arts and culture journalist. Based in Atlanta. A total of 30 years in this amazing city most recently as Senior Editor and writer for ArtsATL.org. In that capacity I covered dance, music and the visual arts. Now I am freelancing again and will also be dance correspondent for the new \"City Lights Collective\" which will premiere on WABE in July. My first journalism gig was as a long term freelancer for the Los Angeles Daily News, where I covered dance, performance art, TV sometimes, healthcare sometimes, general features often. I did radio stints covering dance for KUSC, KPFK and KCRW the NPR affiliate in Los Angeles. Interesting fact about me: I took two years off to train as a hospice chaplain and worked in that capacity for four years at Vitas Healthcare. I now volunteer with Hospice Atlanta and help facilitate bereavement groups. I grew up in the UK and have traveled to Europe, South America, Thailand, throughout the U.S, Mexico and Canada. My favorite travel experiences? Patagonia and the Atacama Desert in Chile.
