SoundingBoard is a business-focussed CIC with a difference.Previously known as nCourage, Sounding Board matches ambitious business leaders with senior level business leaders for confidential boardroom style sessions to talk about barriers to growth.Our exceptional board members and panelists are drawn from a rich diversity of professions, offering a true 360 degree view of business operations.Designed for enterprises who have reached some kind of threshold, where they are weighing up ‘where to next’ options and priorities. The boardroom style discussion offers fresh perspectives and insight to clarify thinking, and provide impetus. SoundingBoard is here for enterprises who are not large enough (yet) to have a full dedicated board, and would like to confidentially discuss issues with highly experienced business heads to gain a broader perspective of where they are, where they’re headed and possible impacts across business disciplines.When the idea of SoundingBoard was first dreamed up in 2021, we had a vision of a support structure that heads of local enterprises could access - free of charge - to provide encouragement and help them to see through and navigate tricky stages in their business trajectory. It works. The board style conversations are eye-opening. Invigorating. Insightful. Life-changing even, for some of our guests. This is a long game. However, almost five years on, i am more convinced than ever that the results of this endeavour will be felt for generations to come.This is about planting trees when you know you will never enjoy the glorious shade. I believe this is a model that can be adopted anywhere. All you need are smart people with a good heart who want to give back and share their learning.
