About Gillian Steininger Bauer
Master of Environmental Management in Global SustainabilityMy love for the abundance of diversity on our planet has guided my life experiences and achievements. From the pursuit of an internationally focused education through the International Baccalaureate Diploma, to my dedication to international non-profit organizations, to my pursuit of my MEM in Global Sustainability and my BA in Environment and Sustainability, I have found passion in the richness of variety in perspectives and livelihoods. This passion brought me to my current role as Lecturer in Environment & Sustainability at the Clark Family School of Environment and Sustainability where I have the opportunity to collaborate with true changemakers: the inspirational students and professionals of Western Colorado University. At the Clark School of Environment and Sustainability, our mission is to empower students to foster community transitions to ecologically resilient, economically sustainable, and socially just energy, food, water, and land-use systems. Our vision is to enact new ways to thrive in the American West, in worldwide mountain communities, and as global citizens through academic programs, public events, faculty research, and student projects.
