Overseeing project delivery nationally and working with and through Cancer Alliances to effect service transformations for patients. In particular- Establishment and running of the Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad, a collaboration between NHS England, NIHR and Genomics England, which will enable identification of potential recruits into clinical trials for personalised mRNA immunotherapies- Delivery of Cancer Innovation Open Call competitions to identify and support the most promising innovations that will help us to deliver on our early diagnosis ambitions- Oversee promising innovations that will be tested and evaluated in real-world settings, so that those that will make the biggest difference can be rapidly implemented across the NHS- Supporting uptake and development of innovation at a local level through Cancer Alliances - Maximise the potential impact of the GRAIL multi-cancer early diagnosis blood test by developing an implementation plan for the roll out of a new pan-cancer screening pathway should the clinic trial be successful. Previous responsibilities in this role have included - Programmes to deliver Personalised Stratified Follow-Up and Personalised Care interventions to people living with and beyond cancer - The newly launched Quality of Life survey to better understand long term quality of life for people living beyond a cancer diagnosis - Work to reduce variation in access to the best, most modern treatment
