ABOUT GILLIAN DOCHERTY CBE FRSE

A strong track record as a CEO, Director and Business Leader bringing together a unique combination of skills and experience around innovation, technology, business development and sales and marketing in both global blue chip and start up organisations. I have a real passion for making a difference for organisations, public sector and ultimately our children and the generations to come. The key strengths I bring from my experience are- Setting up and leading new businesses or business units from successful Vision to Strategy to Execution- A passion and wide understanding of digital technologies and especially about their application and business changing innovation across industry sectors- The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders from the large complex global Customers, to collaborative initiatives with private, public and leading innovation H.E. and research organisations nationally and across the UK Regions- Board experience- Confidence and impact as a listener, communicator and negotiator in a wide range of contexts and an ability to be successful in leading high profile, complex and tight deadline projects- Significant experience in the Financial Services Sector (Retail and Investment) working with IBM clients in the London and beyond.I am Past President and Board member of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, member of Scottish Governments National Strategy for Economic Transformation (NSET) Board and Trade Board and on the board of a Bothwell Futures. I am married, have a daughter and enjoy skiing, swimming and spending time with my family.
