ABOUT GILL WRIGLEY
Gill is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered practitioner psychologist, British Psychological Society (BPS) chartered psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the BPS, a fully accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP), and a level 4 trained EMDR therapist. Gill currently works as a Trauma Therapist/Specialist Psychologist at Help For Heroes, having previously worked within a variety of mental health services within the the Independent Sector (Cygnet and Healios) also the NHS, mostly in roles that have involved the assessment and treatment of PTSD, complex PTSD, recurrent and severe depression, addictions and some co-morbidity with psychosis and schizophrenia across secondary (and some hospital (sectioned patient) tertiary) care populations including a high proportion of current and ex-offenders. Gill also has several years\' experience of working within a primary care IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) setting where she acquired an understanding of NHS models of stepped care and experience of liaison with mental health professionals across a range of NHS settings. Prior to this Gill gained over 18 years of experience working as a qualified psychologist in a range of settings including Her Majesty\'s Prison Service and private providers of secure facilities, contributing to strategic and specialist roles, applied research, and a broad range of managerial roles including hostage negotiation/hostage negotiator adviser.Gill also worked for four years (19••••01), whilst also working for the prison service, as a children\'s advocate and independent person for the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS).
