Gil Horsky is the Founding Managing Partner of FLORA Ventures an early-stage fund partnering with the best purpose-driven entrepreneurs redefining the $8T AgriFood & Sustainability industries, to make food that is good for people and kind to the planet. The investment thesis is focused on the intersection of the AgriFood industry with Planetary & Human Health, all underpinned by deep-tech. Gil is an early backer of some of the industry’s leading & most successful ventures: Lembas, OlsAro, Bluewhite, Kencko, Chunk, Hu Kitchen & others, and his portfolio had raised +$300mm as follow-on investments.Gil was previously the co-founder of SnackFutures, the Venture Capital Investment (CVC) & Incubation hub from Mondelēz. He led the company’s venture capital investments into disruptive AgriFood-Tech startups and emerging consumer food-brands.Among others, Gil & the SnackFutures Team invested in Hu Kitchen (later acquired), Torr FoodTech, Celleste Bio & others. In addition Gil had developed dozens of successful collaborations, JV’s & JDA’s between Mondelēz & startups from around the globe.Throughout his career, Gil had the privilege to work in a variety of commercial roles on some of the most iconic global food brands: Milka, Pepsi, Quaker Oats, Toblerone, Cadbury, Oreo, Tropicana & Nestle Purina. Gil Horsky leveraged strong business & consumer insights to identify, develop and launch over $800mm of new food products, FoodTech technologies and businesses around the world.
