I am course leader for the 3 degrees listed above. Subjects lectured include Naval Architecture, Resistance and Propulsion, Marine Craft Hydrodynamics, Advanced naval Architecture and Advanced Yacht Design, which includes giving instruction of the following computer packages which include AutoCAD, Maxsurf, Hydromax, WinVPP, Wolfson Propellor, Wolfson Powering, and the 3D packages Rhinoceros and Solidworks. I am also responsible for Solent University\'s 60m model yacht towing tank which is fitted with a current Dynamometer supplied by Cussons and also Wavemaker, fitted by HR Walligford. This can be rented from the University on a daily rate.Personal interests in Yacht Design relate to test tank work and am currently involved in the design and testing of an Open 60. I have also tested many types of craft ranging from high performance superyachts, through to amphibious cars, as well as some racing sailing yachts.I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
