ABOUT GIL COSTA

Game Programmer with a passion for storytelling, engaging gameplay and innovative mechanics.I had a chance to study the fundamentals of Software Engineering applied to Game Programming in my Bachelor Degree, focusing in C++ in Visual Studio, but approaching other languages like C# and Python, and game engines like Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 3D. Some of my projects can be found on my Bitbucket account [https://bitbucket.org/Grcosta/];I created my own C++-based engine, GAUGE, based on DirectX 11, including modules for real-time rendering effects, customizable post-processing effects, model importer for mesh and animation information, and basic Ragdoll physics for collision simulation. Everything available on the cloud with version control (on Former Team Foundation Server, and GIT).I also lead a team of students to create a VR game, using Project Management notions, and Agile methodology (SCRUM based). The game was showcased at SIGGRAPH 2018 inside the college stand, as an example of the great work students can achieve. It\'s available for download at [https://finegam3productions.itch.io/witchcraft-vr]My areas of interest are focused on gameplay development, AI systems, and Virtual Reality development.
