   The Chief of Party (CoP) will provide overall direction and leadership to the El Salvador Cacao Alliance and consortium and is responsible for the achievement of strategic objectives, intermediate results and performance expectations through adherence to high standards of program and management quality. Serves as the formal representative of the program to the donors, alliance partners, host government and private sector stakeholders and serves on the program\'s multi-actor advisory board. The CoP manages and supports sub-recipients and facilitates the engagement of private sector alliance members and leads the project management team. He oversees the project budget and ensures accurate and timely accounting and reporting and manages project communications, broad dissemination of experiences and results, including compliance with donor requirements, an approved branding strategy and marketing plans. The El Salvador Cacao Alliance seeks the reestablishment of the cacao value chain in this Central American country, and its activities will increase the income of about small-scale cacao producing families, generate employment, promote biodiversity and enhance resilience to the effects of climate change.
