   Conducted daily ore control activities such as material routing, rock modeling, and assay analysis. • Assisted less-experienced staff to log blast hole cuttings and construct geologic maps as needed • Mentored and trained new geologists in ore control techniques, assay interpretations, and mine geology • Supervised and assisted a team of Engineering Technicians to collect and send blast hole samples to laboratory for assaying. Ensured that each sample collected by the Engineering Technicians was sent to the lab in a timely manner and that each was sent for the correct assay method. • Database administrator for the acQuire Production Geology Database. Extremely familiar with acQuire software, maintained importers to receive assay data from lab and managed blast hole/assay data. Compiled monthly QA/QC report of all blasthole samples for verification by third-party accounting firm. • Collaborated with Mill metallurgists to sample and test pregnant leach solution-contaminated ore for floatation and recovery effects. Contaminated ore was shown to greatly lower the pH of the mill floatation circuits, increased lime use five-fold, and would have caused a 10% decrease in copper recovery. • Excellent safety record with no incidents in over 4 years in an open-pit environment.
