ABOUT GIB GODWIN
Gib Godwin is the President and CEO of Mercy Medical Angels. He is the Founder and President of BriteWerx Inc. He previously was a Managing Director at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in 2014. He was formerly at Burdeshaw Associates as the Sr VP for Naval and Maritime Programs in Bethesda, MD. He is also the Founder and President of BriteWerx, Inc, a SDVOSB, providing consulting services in the Aerospace, Information Technology and Cyber Fields. He is a former Vice President with Northrop Grumman Information Systems in the Cyber Security Domain; Dynamic Analytics and Test in the Modeling and Simulation domain, and Athena Technologies, now Rockwell Collins. His Acquisition expertise comes from 15 years in the Naval Air Systems Command and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command as a Rear Admiral. He was as the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Enterprise Information Systems, where he served as the Department of the Navy’s interface with industry on all land-based Network systems, spanning 2 major network nodes with more than users, and in the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning systems for both the Navy and Marine Corps. He was the PEO for Tactical Aircraft Programs where his responsibilities spanned 8 tactical aircraft platforms, their weapons systems, and the full life cycle support of those platforms in all stages of their life. As Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Systems Engineer for the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet Fleet, he was responsible for the Life Cycle support of the legacy Hornet fleet as well as the Design, Development, Production, Operational Testing and delivery of the F/A-18 E/F to the Fleet. He served in numerous operational squadrons throughout his career.He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University and is PM level 3 certified by the Defense Acquisition University.
