Working in the ISO/IEC 17025-accredited European Reference Laboratory for Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSE), by performing molecular characterization of TSE strains, within the epidemiological surveillance framework established by EU Regulation for Food safety, nutrition, and Veterinary public health purposes.Such and high regulated environment, makes me familiar with Quality Management Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, Working Instructions and Official Test Reports. My role contributes to both routine diagnostic activities and research and development, by performing highly sensitive SDS-PAGE immune detection methods and ultra-sensitive analytical techniques. I act at the border of biology, technique, and data, including literature screening, experimental design and implementation, data management via LIMS, imaging analysis and statistical softwares.
