About Giannis Vassilopoulos
I’m an incoming PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. Before Penn, I earned my MA in Philosophy from Georgia State University and my BA in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Athens. My research is in social philosophy and ethics. Currently, I serve as Chair of the Graduate Student Council of the American Philosophical Association. Previously, I served two terms on the Youth Advisory Committee of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (2022–2023). Outside of philosophy, I’ve published a book and released three albums as a lyricist. My first name is pronounced YAH-nis.
