   As part of the senior staff team, charged with all aspects of individual fundraising and corporate relations as well as events, media relations, communications, and external affairs. Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and the Board of Directors to ensure fundraising and communications plans are aligned with the agency’s goals and strategic plan. Launched and serves as primary liaison to The BronxWorks Leadership Council, the agency’s first non-governing board. Serves as the organization’s media and communications contact for city and government agencies, press, and other civic groups. Leads all volunteer recruitment and initiatives.Maintains brand standards and guidelines for the organization. Launched a consumer / retail focused sub-brand and a strategy for subsequent initiatives.Spearheads the annual gala, the primary source of unrestricted funding as well as other special events peer to peer initiatives, and campaigns. Reorganized all communication efforts. Improved design and effectiveness of collateral. Directed website relaunch as well as the social media and digital marketing plan. Followers and reach continue to increase annually. Led conversion to the Blackbaud fundraising software suite.Cultivates and maintains relationships with private funders including individuals, small businesses, corporations, and other partners. Works in partnership with the Director of Development (government and public funding sources) to ensure a consistent approach.Collaborates with the CEO and key senior staff to determine government affairs strategy. Currently serves as the agency’s co-lead for the public affairs firm. Works closely with program directors to identify funding needs as well as creative approaches to introducing new initiatives.
