I support child welfare agencies to improve outcomes for children in foster care through in-depth evaluation of case practice, data and policy. My team uses our analysis findings to guide states to develop and implement practices and policies designed to improve child safety, permanency and well-being.Some of my responsibilities include: Conducting qualitative reviews of investigations and screening of allegations of abuse and neglect of children in foster care, synthesizing evaluative reviews, and analyzing findings for dissemination. Managing several data tracking systems, including by identifying appropriate metrics for tracking, leading data quality assurance processes, and analyzing the resulting data. Identifying and reviewing state policies related to child safety in foster care, author internal policy memoranda on anticipated impact of policies, and lead internal policy training sessions on pertinent policy changes. Contributing to semi-annual public reporting on state performance, including overseeing report finalization.
