ABOUT GIANFRANCO BUTERA
Gianfranco Butera is Director of congenital interventional cardiology and pediatric cardiologist at Bambin Gesù Hospital since January 2021. He has been the Lead in the same field at St Thomas\'s and Evelina Childrens\' Hospital since november 2018. He has been consultant in Pediatric and GUCH Cardiology at the Policlinico San Donato I.R.C.C.S- Milan-Italy for 18 years. He graduated at Catholic University of Rome, he has trained in Pediatric Cardiology and completed the training in Hopital Necker Enfsnts Malades in Paris France with Prof Kachaner and Prof Bonhoeffer and obtained a Postgraduate school master degree of Pediatric Cardiology of the Universitè Rénè Descartes, Paris V. He is fellow of GISE, SICP, AEPC, SCAI, COMET, member of the directive council of two charity associations. He has served as Chairman of the Working Group of interventional cardiology of the AEPC. He is reviewer of 15 international journals, Case Report Editor of Cardiology in the Young and on the Board of Pediatric Cardiology. His clinical and research interest are focused mainly on interventional cardiology in children and adults with congenital heart diseases. He has authored more than 200 papers on peer reviewed journals. He is Editor of books on interventional and fetal cardiology. He has been visiting professor in various Universities including Harvard, Bordeaux and Padova. With Springer he co-edited the pocket book \"Cardiac Catheterization for CHD\" and a book on fetal and hybrid cardiac procedures.
