ABOUT GIANCARLO PASSALACQUA
As an undergraduate researcher at the OrthoBME Lab at the University of Florida, I contribute to advancing equine biomechanics by employing deep learning techniques such as DeepLabCut to identify anatomical landmarks and enhance the understanding of knee osteoarthritis. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, I focus on developing innovative solutions in veterinary medicine and equine gait analysis. Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida, I am motivated to integrate my academic knowledge and technical skills in biomechanics and programming, including Python and Arduino, to address challenges in medical devices and biomechanics. My previous experience as a Chemistry Lab Aide at Santa Fe College refined my laboratory management and safety skills while improving inventory processes.
