As a Privacy Engineer, I act as a bridge between legal and technical teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations while supporting the development of secure and privacy-focused digital services. My role is centered on embedding Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default into IT products and corporate processes.Key Responsibilities- Privacy & Legal Compliance Integration: Define and implement legal and privacy requirements for IT products and projects, ensuring compliance with GDPR and national regulations- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with engineers and product teams to integrate privacy safeguards into system architectures and software development lifecycles- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA): Conduct DPIAs in collaboration with security and technical teams, identifying privacy risks and recommending mitigation strategies- Technical & Legal Audits: Review technical documentation and analyze data flows to assess compliance with internal policies, GDPR, and security standards- Ex-Post Compliance Verification: Monitor and validate privacy-related decisions and actions taken in products and services, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements- Corporate Governance & Policy Development: Contribute to the creation of internal guidelines, governance frameworks, and processes, including those related to Technology Ethics.
