ABOUT GUSTAVO PEREIRA

I hold a MSc and a BSc in Computer Science from UFMG, in the Software Engineering field. My software engineering career is deeply linked to my academical path, since I worked professionally in the field during my whole higher education. I focused my career in working with backend, being experienced mainly in systems integration services (REST, SOAP, gRPC,(S)FTP, messaging), targeting software quality practices, specially static analysis and code review guided by market good practices. Although my focus is in the backend, I have worked with other points of the ecosystem, such as frontend and ERPs, getting a holistic vision of the systems for which I create integrations, in terms of their necessities and limitations. Because of this integration context I have worked in projects for clients in different areas such as industry, finance and logistics, areas that have distinct necessities in terms of technology and business rules.I have a special interest on applying the academy concepts in industry, having seen the benefits of such synergy along my career. Another interest, also connected to the combination of my professional experience and study field, is in maintaining and evolving legacy code.
