Report to the COO and responsible for leading the Digital, Data, and Technology transition resulting from the acquisition of the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune from the Tribune Publishing Company. The combined California media group is not only Pulitzer Prize-winning but also serves as among the largest metropolitan daily newspapers in the country and the region’s most trusted and comprehensive source of local news and information covering Southern California for more than 137 years. My primary focus is to ensure that the Information Technology transition supports and accelerates our digital business growth and completes in a timely manner. • Be highly responsive to the company’s transformation to become the leading provider of trusted news content on every digital surface. • Build out a multi-layered enterprise security solution to thwart bad actors from causing expensive business disruptions. • Remain flexible to business demands for digital solutions, revenue opportunities, and integrating new leading-edge technologies where applicable. • Consolidate enterprise applications to reduce support, maintenance, and license costs by establishing a reference architecture that defines vendor, platform, and system standards. • Establish and manage Digital, Data Analytics, Security & Compliance, Systems Development, Technology Operations, Application Support, and Program Management Office that disciplines delivering measurable value to the business.
